Bethlehem Climate Action Plan Virtual Meeting 2020

The City of Bethlehem is developing a Climate Action Plan (CAP) to address climate change by identifying policies and programs that will mitigate Bethlehem’s contribution to climate change and help the city adapt to the effects of a changing climate, including extreme heat and flooding.

Since this is a community-wide plan focused on equity and inclusion, the City wants to engage as many residents of Bethlehem as possible in the creation of the plan. The second public planning meeting for the CAP will be held virtually at both 12:00 pm and 5:30 pm (to accommodate varying schedules) on Wednesday, October 7th.

The City and consultant WSP will present draft climate action strategies for a range of sectors, from buildings to transportation to education, with a focus on environmental justice considerations. Then we will seek input from City residents on ideas and priorities for strategies. Share your thoughts on what you want to see included in the plan.

Please help spread the word by sending the attached meeting information to your organizations, neighbors, family and friends.

Share your thoughts on proposed climate action strategies to include in Bethlehem’s Climate Action Plan (CAP) at the second public virtual planning meeting
